Will your vehicle be banned from public car parks?

With vehicles getting bigger every year it appears that some councils have started to ban larger vehicles from using its car parks!

A Freedom of Information (FOI) request has found that five councils in England have banned vehicles over five metres long from using its car parks. The five councils are Wokingham, South Hampshire, Broadland, South Suffolk, and West Devon.

Some popular vehicles that would be considered too long are: Range Rovers, Audi A8, Tesla Model S, Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series and Kia EV9.

Most on-street parking is also significantly shorter and thinner than bay parking spaces.
